2017 is behind us, but many of the problems still remain. It’s a new year and Chainbreaker is going to hit the ground running. By now, most Santa Feans realize that we are facing a housing and equity crisis. Our high cost of living is forcing many of our friends family members farther to the outskirts of the city, often to areas that lack essential services and amenities. This can lead to car dependence, contributing to climate change and perpetuating a cycle of poverty. The effect is that our city is becoming increasingly segregated and divided and many Santa Feans are left feeling we must choose between disinvestment and displacement. Will we allow our city to continue on this path for yet another year?
Join us for a series of community conversations every other Tuesday starting January 9th to explore the roots of the equity crisis and find solutions together.
All events are free and open to everyone. Please join us and help increase Santa Fean’s political literacy about equity during this critical election cycle.
